About Me

In an effort to start this writer-to-reader relationship with a fair bit of honesty, I'd like to offer that this blog is not about food. Nor will it ever be about food. Though the runner and the college student within me would push through crowds of hungry pre-teens for a good dessert, I'm giving you my own variation of the 'scout's honor' that the content of this blog will be more than that.

To continue this string of honesty, I'll also divulge that I live a double life. It could be compared to that of Clark Kent and Superman, except with less hair gel. As a News & Editorial Journalism student at Colorado State University and a native of Colorado, I glean great exposure to the countless outdoors adventures that this environment affords me. On the other hand, I've always had an inherent likeness of the more urban, city settings. In fact, doctors say my heart is shaped like a well-architectured skyscraper--so much for the honesty aforementioned.

Antonio Porchia, Argentenian poet and writer, was quoted to say, "We become aware of the void as we fill it". A philosophy that I try to abide by, and I will likely guide this blog in the same way. Here's to sharing little pieces of editorial content in blog form. All of which regarding popular culture, life as a Coloradoan, interests from a destined urbanite, and as a runner.

Cheers.
